Visiting with one of my lifelong heroes, Dan Rather, his wonderful wife, Jean, and our dear friend, Robin Rather, was such a special treat at the Travis County Democratic Party JBR dinner last night. Wonderful to see Mayor Kirk Watson present him with a key to our city and hear from Congressmen Lloyd Doggett, Greg Casar, and Hakeem Jeffries, about their continuing work in Washington. Thank you Julie and Kelly Kocurek for being such fabulous table hosts. And, especially a huge shout-out to Katie Naranjo, Cynthia Van Maanen, and everyone for the countless hours making the event a huge success.
